This invention relates to an analgesic pharmaceutical composition for treating pain and the symptoms of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug induced gastric acidity comprising an analgesic effective amount of a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug and a gastric acid neutralizing effective amount of an antacid and methods of treating the symptoms of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug induced gastric acidity comprising administering such pharmaceutical compositions.
