PURPOSE:To obtain a sound producing function which can output sounds in a wider frequency range by using a sound producer which inputs signals selected out of the output of a frequency multiplier under the control of a storage device and is equipped with a musical interval generator. CONSTITUTION:A frequency multiplier 102 outputs multiplied frequencies (double, quadruple, etc.) of input clocks 101 and incorporates a selector which selects one output 103 of a multiplier out of a plurality of outputs along with the input clocks 101. A storage device 107 outputs a multiplier controlling signal 106 which controls the selector incorporated in the multiplier 102 in accordance with the data stored in the device 107. A musical interval generator 104 outputs musical interval outputs 105 of various frequencies by inputting the multiplier output 103 and dividing the frequency of the output 103 by various frequency diving ratios. Thus data corresponding to the multiplier output 103 of a frequency to be used are written in the storage device 107. Therefore, musical interval outputs 105 can be outputted in a wider frequency range. |
