<p>The electrical connector comprises a case 5 enclosing a device 6 for supplying a power-consuming apparatus and has an oblong general shape, a large face 7 of which bears a male plug 8 having at least two pins 9 oriented perpendicularly to the said large face and the longitudinal extension of which is such that, when the connector is connected to a wall socket 1, the case 5 extends beyond the covering 4 of the wall socket.
