Disclosed is an improved fastening system (15) for attaching a wheel (14a,b,c,d) to the frame (12) of an in-line roller skate (10). The system includes a fastening plug (55) insertable into the axle aperture (54a) in the side rail (12a) of an in-line roller skate frame. The system further includes a snap cover assembly (76) including an anchor (66) insertable into the axle aperture (54b) of the side rail (12b) from the other side thereof, a nut (53) insertable into a receptacle (69) disposed in the anchor, and a snap cover (76) for enclosing and covering the nut. <IMAGE> |
