<p>PURPOSE:To improve reproducing output and electromagnetic conversion characteristics by forming several magnetic layers for the magnetic recording medium and incorporating a needle-like ferromagnetic powder having specified coercive force into the lower magnetic layer and incorporating an alloy ferromagnetic powder having specified coercive force, saturation magnetization and specified direction of axis of easy magnetization into the upper layer. CONSTITUTION:A needle-like ferromagnetic powder having 600 - 2,000Oe coercive force is incorporated into the lower magnetic layer, while an alloy ferromagnetic powder having 1,000 - 5,000Oe coercive force, 90 - 150emu/g saturation magnetization, in a plate-like shape with the axis of easy magnetization in the perpendicular direction to the plate surface, is incorporated into the upper layer. Thereby, the obtd. medium has improved reproducing output and electromagnetic conversion characteristics for the all frequency range.</p> |
