PURPOSE:To stably perform position detection by using a small and inexpensive mobile station by detecting the present position and the advancing direction of a mobile body based on a modulated wave received by the mobile body, two non-modulated waves, and difference between the input levels of them. CONSTITUTION:Fixed stations which transmit the modulated wave F1 with which the position information of the fixed station is transmitted, and transmit the non-modulated waves F2, F3 with two different wavelength emitted advancing the fixed station are provided being scattered at every place on a road, and a receiver(mobile station) which receives those three transmission waves and detects the difference of the input levels of two non-modulated waves F2, F3 is provided at the mobile body. The present position and the advancing direction of the mobile body can be detected by obtaining the position information of the fixed station with the modulated wave F1 received by the mobile body, and relative distance between the mobile body and the fixed station based on the two non-modulated waves F2, F3 and the difference of the input levels. Thereby, it is possible to stably perform the position detection by using a small and inexpensive receiver. |
