PURPOSE:To make a black recorded part visibly outstanding by increasing the number of scannings for black recording compared to that for mixed color recording. CONSTITUTION:Dots are printed against pixels of dot unit making up dot data through an ink discharge orifice in a black character printing part. On the other hand, dots are printed by reducing the number of dots given in a specified area in a R, G and B in a mixed color printing part. Therefore, in the latter case, ink is easily absorbed in a blank part formed around the printed dots. In addition, ink dots BK, Y, M and C are printed in a diagonal part after analyzing pixels when the first round of scan(A) is performed using recording heads 2A to 2D. When the second round of scan is performed(B), only an ink dot BK is printed at an opposite diagonal position, so that dots are solidly printed against all pixels in the black printing part. Thus, the drop out of print black data completely is prevented and black print can be made to appear outstanding. At the same time, mixed colors of R,G,B can be stably fixed without density reduction. |
