PURPOSE:To stop a recording sheet at the desired position when recording conditions are changed and prevent the occurrence of a jam by driving an image forming device main body and a paper feed cabinet with independent driving systems respectively, and setting the transmission timing of the stop signal to stop the driving system of the paper feed cabinet in response to the paper feeding conditions. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine main body 100 is driven by a motor M1, and the paper feeding action of a paper feed cabinet 200 is performed by a motor M2. Multiple cassettes 201-201 storing copying sheets with different sizes are provided in the paper feed cabinet 200, either one of paper feed cabinet pairs 210-240 is driven by the motor M2 by selection, and copying sheets are fed to a timing roller pair 22 from a conveying roller 205. The conveyance distance to the conveying roller 205 differs, and the stop signal of the motor M2 is transmitted at the same timing as the stop of an intermediate roller pair 23 when the copying sheet is detected by a sensor S4. The copying sheet can be invariably stopped at a fixed position. |
