PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition containing each specific thermotropic liquid crystal, globular glass-like carbon and fluororesin at specific ratios and usable also in sliding position under severe conditions of high speed and load, especially using a metal as opposite material. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition containing (A) 87-40 wt.% (preferably 77-55 wt.%) thermotropic liquid crystal polymer which is a (co)polymer (prefer ably wholly aromatic polyester) containing at least a monomer unit expressed by the formula, (B) 10-50 wt.% (preferably 20-40 wt.%) globular glass-like carbon obtained by carbonizing a thermosetting resin at >= 420 deg.C (preferably >= 550 deg.C) and (C) 3-20 wt.% (preferably 3-15wt.%) fluororesin, preferably of polytetrafluoroethylene. |
