<p>Proposed is a method for data transmission network management, wherein the network comprises a central server and multiple network segments with the same private IP addresses, each segment comprising a switch that is connected to the common network and a number of subscribers connected to the switch. For the network management a number of sensors is connected in the network, each sensor is connected to one of the segments, wherein each sensor contains an internal database containing data on subscribers' identification, subscribers' IP addresses, subscribers' MAC addresses, and switch MAC address. The said sensors are configured for collecting information on the network segment and transferring it to the central server. The invention is intended for small and medium-sized data transmission network owners for network infrastructure management, including internet service providers, with segmented data transmission networks and the same private IP addressing of several network segments.</p> |
