PURPOSE:To prevent deformation, an occurrence of wrinkle, and a fusion with a thermal transfer image receiving material by incorporating at least one of specific three color dyes and a silicone compound. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate, a coloring material layer is formed. The coloring material layer contains at least one of an Yellow dye shown by a formula (I), a Magenta dye shown by a formula (II), and a Cyan dye shown by a formula (III) or/and a formula (IV) and a silicone compound. These dyes have resistance to light and heat and a sufficient resistance to chemicals. A thermal transfer recording material containing a thermal transfer dye donative material containing these dyes has superior fastness to light and color reproducibility. However, because these dyes have relatively low thermal transfer properties, it is required that the dyes should be transferred at high temp. or a thermal head should be heated for a long time. Therefore, sometimes the dye donative material may produce wrinkle or thermally fuse with a dye receiving material. In this case, this phenomenon can be prevented by incorporating a silicone compound in a layer of the dye donative material abutting on the dye receiving material. |
