<p>PURPOSE:To connect pipes in a simple way by forming a partially circular recessed groove to receive the flange of an opposite pipe coupling to the flange, and fitting closely the opposite flange while leading the opposite flange by a turnover wall at the front end side. CONSTITUTION:At one side in the axial direction of a collar 1, a flange 2 facing in the peripheral direction is formed projecting in a circular form. On the lower half of the flange 2, that is, at the second semicircular flange 2b, a semicircular bottom 3 extending from the peripheral edge to the outer side in the axial direction is formed, and a semicircular turnover wall 4 turning back from the end of the bottom 3 to the inner side in the radius direction, and inclining to the outer side in the axial direction, is formed. And the width in the axial direction of a recessed groove 5 is made almost equal to the width of the first semicircular flange 2a in consideration of the width when a packing 12 is held. Consequently, pipes can be connected in a simple work.</p> |
