<p>PURPOSE:To expose and easily dissolve a jam wherever it occurs by supporting the whole paper discharge path on the first moving member, and moving it between the operating position next to fixing unit and the nonoperating position retreated from here via the action f this member. CONSTITUTION:The door 112 of a paper discharge section is opened or closed by the rotation of the center of a pivotal point, the pivotal point is located at a low position trespassing into a paper feed box 8 below an image forming box 7, thus a paper discharge path 101 can be retreated from the operating position to the nonoperating position largely moved backward from a fixing unit 38. The fixing unit 38 and the path 101 can be largely separated, a jammed transfer sheet 2 is largely exposed on the fixing unit 38 section and the path 101 by that amount, and jam dissolution is facilitated. When the path 101 is retreated to the nonoperating position, a moving plate 125 is rotated, an upper block 123 is separated from a lower block 122 counterclockwise, a paper passing path 121 can be opened, thus a jam can be dissolved without difficulty by opening the paper passing path 121 even if the sheet 2 is jammed in the path 101.</p> |
