<p>The invention relates to a snipping machine (1) for French beans, having a revolving cylindrical drum (3) and a lateral wall (6) traversed by identical and parallel elongated slots (7), which are spaced in respectively circumferential and longitudinal directions and uniformly distributed, being aligned respectively in the two directions, and with at least one longitudinal row of external cutters (11) in sliding tangential contact with the convex smooth outer surface (21) of the said lateral wall (6). The longitudinal extent of the slots (7) is oriented in a direction which is generally parallel to the axis of rotation of the drum (3).
