PURPOSE:To simply and easily register and retrieve the image by outputting document information of a page which is read by a reading means, and also, designated by a designating means and generating abstract information, and adding retrieval information for retrieving the document information to this abstract information. CONSTITUTION:Document information of plural pages is read by a reading means 41, stored in a storage medium by a storage means 51, and the page outputted as an abstract in the document information of plural pages read by the reading means 41 is designated by a designating means 11. Subsequently, by outputting the document information of the page which is read by the reading means 41, and also, designated by the designating means 11 to copy paper of one unit, abstract information of the document information which is read by the reading means 41 and stored in the storage medium is generated, and with respect to this generated abstract information, retrieval information for retrieving the document information is added to the copy paper under the control of a fundamental system part 1. In such a way, an image can be registered and retrieved simply and easily at a low cost. |
