<p>A tamper indicating closure for a closure cap (10) having a button (26) which is movable between a first (elevated) position and a second (downwardly recessed) position in accordance with the state of closure of an associated container (20). A tamper indicating arrangement includes a first layer (32) directly attached to the button (26) and an overlying second layer (34) that can be connected to the button (26) generally at the periphery thereof. The first layer (32) is photoactive and the second layer (34) is of a friable filter material. Normally the second layer (34) protects the first layer (32), but when the button (26) changes its shape, the friable filter layer (34) will crack and expose the underlying photoactive layer (32) to cause a change in the photoactive layer (32). This change can be disappearance of a message, say including a UPC code, or developing of a latent message on the photoactive layer (32). <IMAGE></p> |
