PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the above device by providing a card member formed with the ruggedness corresponding to a photographing mode, an insertion chamber inserted with the card member in a camera body and a switch array for detecting the arrangement of the ruggedness. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted of the card member 12 formed with the ruggedness 13 corresponding to the photographing mode, the insertion chamber 16 of the card member 12 provided in the camera body 2 and the switch array 20 for detecting the arrangement of the ruggedness 13. The switch array 20 disposed in the insertion chamber 16 is turned on and off by the ruggedness 13 when the card member 12 is inserted into the insertion chamber 16 provided in the camera body 2. The combination of the on and off is interpreted by the camera 2 and the photographing mode corresponding to the card member is automatically set. The cost is reduced in this way as compared with devices for inputting by using IC cards or bar codes. |
