PURPOSE:To decrease the number of parts so that the optical connector type optical collimator is inexpensively obtd. by using a split sleeve and inserting a ferrule therein, thereby using the optical collimator. CONSTITUTION:This optical collimator consists of the split sleeve 7, a capillary inserted at one end into the other end side of this split sleeve 7, an optical fiber 6 inserted into this capillary 5, a lens holder 2 inserted with the other end side of the capillary 5 from one end side thereof, and a rod lens 1 inserted from the other end side of the lens holder 2. The other end side of the split sleeve 7 is fixed to one end side of the lens holder 2 and the ferrule 1 is inserted into the split sleeve 7 from one end side thereof. The optical collimator is provided with a connecting function in this way and the optical collimator of the optical connection type of the smaller number of parts is inexpensively obtd. |
