PURPOSE:To make emitting and receiving ends of infrared rays compact in size by providing optical fibers which have respective one ends connected to a light emitting part and a light receiving part, while emitting or receiving light from the other ends. CONSTITUTION:Two optical fibers 15 are provided to transmit received and emitted infrared rays. One end of each fiber is connected to an infrared ray emitting part 20, an infrared ray receiving part 30 which is incorporated into one body with a power source 1 and a driving circuit 2. In other words, infrared rays are projected from an opening of one optical fiber 15, and its reflecting light is received at an opening of the other optical fiber 15. At this time, a solenoid valve 5 is driven by the driving circuit 2, thereby controlling the water supply. Accordingly, light emitting and a light receiving ends can be made compact. |
