PURPOSE:To decrease polarization of an electrode and obtain large current by carrying metal phthalocyanine polymer of at least one of Co, Cu, Ni, Mo, Mn, and Sn on an electrode current collecting material when the polymer is synthesized. CONSTITUTION:Metal phthalocyanine polymer of at least one selected from Co, Cu, Ni, Mo, Mn, and Sn is carried on an electrode current collecting material when the polymer is synthesized. The positive electrode for a fuel cell or air cell is prepared by press-bonding an electrode material layer 1 carrying a metal phthalocyanine polymer an water repellent porous layer 3 comprising mixed powder of water repellent material to a metal net 2 such as that of Ni or Ag, and burning them. The positive electrode is assembled in a cell so that the layer 1 is faced to electrolyte and the layer 3 to gas. |
