PURPOSE:To comprise a display device with satisfactory weight balance at the right and left sides of a discharge panel and well balanced in point of design by arranging cathode driving circuits at both sides of the discharge panel by dividing into right and left parts. CONSTITUTION:The cathode driving circuit is divided into the right and left parts, and a left side cathode driving circuit 7A and a right side cathode driving circuit 7B are arranged at the right and left sides of the discharge panel 1, and are connected to a cathode 4 extended to the right and left sides of the discharge panel 1, respectively. The operations of such cathode driving circuits 7A, 7B can be performed similarly as the conventional one, and a cathode waveform is applied to the cathode 4. In such a way, it is possible to keep the weight balance at the right and left sides of the discharge panel satisfactorily even in the discharge panel of large screen, and to realize the display device of large scale well balanced in point of design. |
