PURPOSE:To shorten the fitting time of a multichannel magnetic head by reading pieces of position information on respective channels at the same time and by taking a single measurement for each magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:Peak voltage signals 3-1-3-9 are supplied to a shift register 21 and then transferred to a holding register 23 and a channel data set timing circuit 24. The channel data set timing circuit 24 specifies a storage location for the count value of a counter 25 corresponding to the output of the shift register 21 in a memory 26. A microprocessor 9, after receiving the output signal E of an AND gate 27, calculates data differences between respective channels in the memory 26 to correct a fitting error among read heads 1-1-1-9. |
