PURPOSE:To output the voice of a guide sentence matching an actual place name, as well by retrieving the inherent name of a specific place based on position information of specific place, generating the guiding sentence in combination with a fixed format document, and converting it into a voice signal. CONSTITUTION:When a position detecting means C detects the current position of a vehicle, its position information is sent to a document generating means D, which retrieves a guiding information storage means B according to the vehicle position, and generates and sends the guiding sentence to a voice rule synthesizing means E. The voice rule synthesizing means E converts the guiding sentence into a voice signal which passes through an audio amplifier and is outputted from a speaker to be heard by the driver and other riding persons. Consequently, the guiding sentence matching the actual place such as 'TOKYO station' and 'intersection of GINZA 1-chome' is generated at the site and voiced to give the guiding sentence a rich variation. |
