发明名称 DRIVING SYSTEM FOR PLASMA DISPLAY
摘要 PURPOSE:To drastically decrease the flickers arising from a gradation display observed heretofore by overlapping sub-fields of G and R with time and shortening the spacing between the sub-fields. CONSTITUTION:The plural sub-fields of the AC refresh type plasma display having a circuit to obtain gradation by dividing one field to the plural sub-fields are driven by overlapping the display periods of the sub-fields with time. Namely, the sub-fields of the G and R are overlapped with time to shortened the inter-sub-field spacing to 1/3 the inter-sub-field spacing of the conventional system. This spacing corresponds to the spacing obtd. by shortening the field period to about 1/3 (triples the fresh frequency) and the flickers are decreased down to a negligible level. The flickers arising from the gradation display are drastically decreased in this way.
