<p>PURPOSE:To improve still durability at high temp. and high humidity by forming a specified magnetic layer containing a ferromagnetic powder dispersed in a specified binder on a supporting body. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic recording medium consists of a nonmagnetic supporting body and a magnetic layer containing a ferromagnetic powder dispersed in a binder. The magnetic layer contains aromatic phosphoric acid, phosphonic acid, sulfonic acid or dervs. of these. The ferromagnetic powder is of >=pH 7, and the binder consists of vinyl chloride copolymers containing OH groups with epoxy groups and alkyl chains. Thereby, the obtd. medium has excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristics and C/N, and especially excellent transport durability at high temp. and high humidity.</p> |
