<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a highly sensitive photopolymerizable composition which can give a recording medium of an excellent recording speed by mixing a radical-addition-polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated compound with a specified photopolymerization initiator and a binder comprising a specified polymeric compound. CONSTITUTION:A photopolymerizable composition essentially consisting of a radical-addition-polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated compound, a photopolymerization initiator comprising a compound of formula I (wherein Ar1 and Ar2 are each aryl; and X<-> is an anion), e.g. a compound of formula II or III, and a binder, wherein the binder comprises a polymeric compound having a carbazole ring in the molecule (e.g. a compound of formula IV or V). This composition has excellent sensitivity, and a recording medium prepared from this composition has an excellent recording speed.</p> |
