PURPOSE:To mount a chip on a board while gradually enhancing reliability of a reference value by sequentially inputting chip measured value/measured by a recognition unit, and registering a correction value corrected by the measured value as a new reference value. CONSTITUTION:A catalog value is input as a temporary value of a reference value to a computer 14 as a reference value for judging propriety of many types of chips P1-Pn. Its size is measured by a recognition unit 13 on the way of feeding the chip O to a first board 1 by a transfer head 2, whether the measured value coincides with the temporary value of the reference value or not is judged, and if an error falls within an allowable range, the chip P is fed to be transferred to the board 11, the measured value is input to the computer 14, the average value of the temporary value and the measured value is calculated as a correction value, and registered as a new reference value for judging propriety of a chip to be fed and placed next. If it is not coincident, the placing is stopped. |
