NEW MATERIAL:gamma-Isoionone expressed by formula I. USE:Useful as a perfume and an intermediate for synthesis of other perfume compounds, having a lasting floral fragrance and flavor accompanied by sweet fruity feeling and woody feeling with a basic tone of violet-like fragrance and usable as a flavoring agent and modifier in various fields such as foods and drinks, perfumes, healthy goods, sanitary good and drugs. PREPARATION:gamma-Cyclolavandulal expressed by formula II is reacted with acetylidene triphenyl phosphorane in an organic solvent at -30-200 deg.C, preferably at 0-150 deg.C, for 5-20hr to obtain the compound expressed by formula I. |
