PURPOSE:To stably maintain the photographic performance even if the amt. of a replenishing color developer is reduced and continuous processing is carried out and to practically prevent bleaching fogging and yellow staining by incorporating a specified coupler into the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A color photosensitive material contg. a coupler shown by formula I is color-developed while reducing the amt. of a replenishing color developer to <=600ml per m<2> of the material and bleached. In the formula, n is 1 when the coupler residue A denotes a phenol or naphthol-type coupler residue, n is 0 when the residue A denotes other residues, and R is a 1-4C alkyl or pyridyl group. A compd. shown by formula II can be used as the coupler. The treating time in the processing soln. after bleaching is preferably controlled to <=3 min, and an oxidizing agent having >=150 mV oxidation-reduction poten tial is preferably incorporated into the bleaching soln.
