The telecontrol system for appliance control through telephone line sends sensor (12) output signals to telephone set (2) connected to control circuit (20). The telecontrol system has central controlling unit (10) which comprises setting switch (11), room temperature sensor (12), control circuit (20) and microphone (13) for operating the unit (10) from the outside. The telecontrol system for controlling the air-conditioner (4), lighting unit (5), automatic bath tub (3), gas valve (7), is controlled by the adapter (3A,4A,6A,7A) in accordance with the signals from control circuit (20).
