E.G.R. circuit for IC engine - has quantity control valve fitted between combustion gas source and EGR return

To influence the exhaust gas fed back to the inlet channel (7a-7d) of an ic engine (1), a turbulence channel (8a-8d) is connected to an exhaust gas return feed conduit (9) so that additional gas can reach the inlet channel (7). In the turbulence channel, a quantity control valve (10) is fitted between a combustion gas source (6) and the mouth of the exhaust gas return feed conduit. The valve can be controlled in wide operating ranges of the engine. In the exhaust gas return feed conduit is an electrically or pneumatically controlled stop valve (14) with 'on' and 'off' positions. USE/ADVANTAGE - For internal combustion engines, to achieve a good turbulence in the combustion chamber, and an improved combustion.
