Process for the distribution of a gas mixture in precisely required proportions from separate stocks of the said constituents in the liquid state (11-12) on the production site, which is mixed in the liquid state in a cryogenic cistern of a conveyor and then, after conveying, which is transferred into a cryogenic storage on the use site to be vaporised and distributed in the gaseous state as a function of the demand, characterised in that the operation of mixing (at 34) of the constituents in the liquid state takes place directly in a conduit for transfer (35) towards the cistern (43) of the conveyor (45) by draining off using a pump (12-22) and valve (19-29) the said constituents in the liquid state out of the storages (11-12), this being done at flow rates which are coarsely adjusted to their respective contents in the final mixture, passing the said flows through a static mixer (34), sampling the mixed flow in the liquid state for analysis (39-46) and determining the actual content of at least one constituent, actuating a means of fine adjustment (31) of the flow rate of the said constituent as a function of a signal of the difference between a target value for the said constituent and the said measured value with a view to continuously reestablishing the content of this constituent at its exact target value, after which the mixture in the liquid state is introduced into the cistern (43) of the conveyor (45).
