Frame synchronisation procedure for phase keying and AM - recognising symbol position of sub-alphabet in symbol train by selection of signal alphabet lower quantities

By selection of sub.vol of the signal alphabet, using known synchronisation sequence, the position of the sub-alphabet symbols in the sequences is detected and a possible carrier phase deviation is determined. Pref., the components in a first external code word of a generalised code are set onto a fixed, known value. The distance of the first outer code word is increased by at least the number of fixed positions w.r.t. a time-variable process. USE/ADVANTAGE - Both time-variable, coded phase keying and for quadrature AM. No need for extra synchronisation blocks, or distributed synchronisation signs.
