<p>Bottles of suitable material are cut up in the lengthwise direction, using a slide with fixing devices engaging with the bottle neck, and one or more knives movable in relation to the slide in the cutting direction. The fixing devices comprise a pin over which the bottle is slid, and a spring hook engaging with its neck, typically via a collar or screwthread on the latter, and functioning automatically on fitting the bottle over the pin.</p> |
