In the appts. for mfg. chenille yarns, where the chopped effect yarn material is carried by two curved sliding surfaces around the carrier rollers with the core yarns, channels in the sliding surfaces are defined by holding walls. They run along where the cut effect yarn material travels along the rollers for the effect yarn to be formed. The channels are pref. extended to come closer to the carriage rollers. The sliding surfaces are formed from two cut and stamped plate sections to be shaped and bonded symmetrically to each other. The taper, with its blade to give the cut effect material, forms the sliding surfaces around the carrier rollers with the channels and extensions. The passage for a core yarn has a chamfer to ensure that the core yarn is gradually fed into the channel. ADVANTAGE - The system improves the precision of chenile yarn mfg., making the material more consistent and with an improved effect which is reflected in the fabric when worked.
