The package has a continuous wall (2) on a base (1). The wall is of composite structure, with open or closed cells (3-5). It can be formed by layers of cellular structure, typically corrugated paper and/or cardboard, each comprising a corrugated and a flat sheet, glued together at the ridges. Typically the layers can form strips wound round the edges of the bottom.
