High resolution matrix printer - has lines of elements set at angle to feed direction to improve print resolution
摘要
A high resolution printer is formed with a number of lines (11) of print elements. The lines are set on angles to provide a high print point density in a direction transverse to the paper feed direction (A). Double lines of elements allow overlap between adjacent points. Each print element has an optical gate that is controlled by an electrode that is of a ceramic (12). Integrated circuit drive stages (18) control the gates. The system has a resolution that is 1.4 times that of a straight transverse print head line. ADVANTAGE - Increased resolution.
