The adjustment with variable transmission, esp. for raising and lowering vehicle windows, incorporates a control (2) operating together with a catch (6) by means of a lever (5). One end of the catch (6) - a roller (9) - rests on a guide-track (8) with circular section (13). The control (2) and/or the catch (6) and/or the lever (5) move on an axle (1, 7). The control (2) has a pin or bolt (12) parallel to the axle (7) and fitting into a slot (10) in the lever (5) and which is radial to the axle (7). The guide-track (8) has a transmission part (14) to the circular section (14).
