A method forms a toothbrush from a blank (10) comprising a head (10a) with cavities or attenuation grooves (11,12) extending longitudinally to partition the head into three rectangular head portions (13-15) which are provided with rows of bristles in conventional manner, and a handle (10b) with a narrowed neck (10c). The central head portion (13) is flush with and parallel to the neck (10c). The head portions are inclined by bending along the grooves while temporarily softening head material by heating e.g. by hot air, dielectric or other heating method applied to the back of head where access is easier. The material is then cooled in the new configuration.
