The junction box for a combined network and information cable with electrical supply conductors (4..6) and information transmission conductors (7..9) has pairs of terminals (22a..27a; 22b..27b) at a relatively wide spacing. They are at least double the min. conductor length needed to couple each of the cable conductors to the corresponding terminal (22a..27a; 22b..27b). Pref. the junction box (1) is connected in parallel with the voltage supply conductors (4, 5). ADVANTAGE - Allows simple connection to voltage supply and information cable.
