The lure is formed by a curved plate (2) of metal, porcelain or similar material, which may be attached to a fishing line (3) just ahead of a triple-barbed hook (7). The plate is shaped such that it will turn and undulate as the line draws it through the water. The plate includes an enamel coating, which is different on the outer convex face of the plate to the coating on the concave face. The convex face may be multicoloured to simulate a fish, while the concave face may be bronzed.
