For the preparation of copolymers of ethylene, ethylene is polymerized with esters of vinyl alcohol in the absence of solvents and emulsifiers and in the presence of free radical acceptors. The addition of free radical acceptors makes it possible to increase the polymerization temperature in comparison with a procedure without the use of free radical acceptors.
