PURPOSE:To improve the bioadaptability of the title polyurethane by incorporating a specific soft polythioether segment into the polyurethane. CONSTITUTION:1,4-Butanediol is reacted with 2,2'-thiodiethanol at 180 deg.C to give a polythioether contg. a soft polythioether segment shown by the formula [wherein l/m is (0:50)-(50:1); and n is 1-100]. One mol of the polythioether is reacted with 2-5mol of polyisocyanate, pref. a diisocyanate, at 30-150 deg.C for 0.5-10hr, and the reaction product is reacted with a chain extender having a difunctional active-hydrogen group in an amt. of 1-4mol based on 1mol of the polyisocyanate to give the title polyurethane contg. the polythioether segment. |
