<p>Optical smoke, aerosol and dust-detector containing a light-source, emitting light (La) and (Lv) which is polarized and which is scattered by the particles to be detected. The scattered light is detected by sensors, giving rise to signals (S1, S2, S3, S4) which are processed by an electronic device.
