The subject of this invention is a variable-amplitude device for the lift of at least one internal-combustion engine valve. This device comprises two cams which are fixed to the same shaft and of which one (H) is the upper and the other (B) the lower, a lever (F, M) being provided in line with each control cam so as to cooperate with these, the levers being mounted on pivots fixed to the cylinder head (1), one (15) of these pivots being slidable relative to the cylinder head as a function of operating parameters of the engine and under the effect of a selection member (27), each lever (F, M) being capable of a movement between a working position in contact with its control cam (B, H) and a retracted position, in such a way that the two levers act on the valve (2) alternately and selectively. This device is used in the manufacture of internal-combustion engines of any type.

|
