PURPOSE:To alleviate overcurent at cross slot ends and resultant loss concentration by a method wherein cross slot lateral ends communicate with coil slots adjoining a pole section. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 1 is composed of an iron core 1a and a shaft 1b, and a coil 6 accommodated in a longitudinally provided coil slot 7 is secured by a wedge 2 that keeps the coil 6 from flying away. Provided laterally on the surface of a pole section 4 is a plural number of cross slots 5. Further, sub-cross slots 13 are provided interlinking the circumference-wise ends of cross slots 5 with coil slots 7a. This eliminating gaps between the cross slots 5 and their adjoining coil slots 7a where overcurrent is supposed to collect, such current is caused to be approximately uniform in its flow. |
