Method for measuring the kinematic error of a gear pair, a primary or driving gear and a secondary or driven gear (2), in operation, consists in: - measuring the tangential acceleration of the rotation shaft (4) of the secondary gear with the aid of two accelerometers (5) fixed in a fashion diametrically opposite one another on a rigid support (3) solidly attached to the secondary shaft (4); - transmitting accelerometric measurement signals with the aid of a transmitter (6) connected to the accelerometers and solidly attached to the secondary shaft; - detecting the transmitted accelerometric signals with the aid of a receiver (7) which is stationary and placed without contact in the vicinity of the transmitter; and - carrying out a time and instantaneous analysis of the detected signals using a signal-processing means connected to the receiver (7) in order to convert the said accelerometric signals into instantaneous angular displacement signals of the primary and secondary gear pair.
