PURPOSE:To accomplish a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a high capacity and high energy density by filling a vessel with electrolytic solution, immersing an electrode plates group and Li metal in the electrolytic solution prior to sealing the battery, connecting a neg. electrode terminal with the Li metal, and leaving them as they are. CONSTITUTION:A vessel is filled with electrolyte 10, and an electrode plates group or a battery can 8, in which electrode plates group is inserted, and Li metal 9 are immersed in the electrolytic solution. Terminal of a carbon electrode as neg. electrode is connected with the Li metal 9, and they are left for a certain period of time. Gas is generated through consumption of external Li 9 for full deaeration, and sealing is carried out. Therefore, electrolyte leakage due to gas generated by charging/discharging and drop of cycle lifetime can be prevented without loss of the pos. electrode capacity. Thereby a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is obtained equipped with high capacity and high energy density. |
