PURPOSE:To enhance the sensitivity and electrically matching ability of a vibrator by using an ultra-miniature laminated chip inductor as a tuning coil for tuning an ultrasonic wave transmitter and receiver device, and by arranging the ultra-miniature laminated chip inductor, adjacent to the vibrator. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator 14 and an ultra-miniature laminated chip inductor 18 as a tuning coil connected to the vibrator 14 so as to tune the vibrator 14 to the body side, are disposed in the front end part of an ultrasonic probe 12. Further, an ultrasonic wave transmitter and receiver device 16 is connected to the inductor 18 through the intermediary of a cable 20, and the device 16 is connected to a CRT 24 through the intermediary of a control section 22 for image-processing a reflection signal. Further, a cap 28 is provided at the front end of the probe 12 having a spiral spring 26, and the vibrator 14 and the ultra-miniature chip inductor 18 are arranged adjacent to each other, in an opening part 28a in the side surface of the cap 28. With this arrangement, the tuning between the transmitter and receiver device 16 and the vibrator 14 is taken by the ultra-miniature chip inductor 18, and further, the inductor 18 is arranged adjacent to the vibrator 14, thereby it is possible to enhance the sensitivity and electrically matching ability of the vibrator 14. |
