<p>PURPOSE:To improve the interfacial suitability of planographic ink and to prevent a non-image area from undergoing scumming without hindering the ink form adhering well to an image area by employing an additive which is represented by a specific structural formula. CONSTITUTION:An additive for planographic ink made of a compound with a molecular weight of 400 or more and represented by the formula (wherein A and B each represent hydrogen or an organic radical; OA represents oxyalkylene; and m and n each represent an interger showing the number of moles of the constituent unit, provided that the total number of m and n is 5 or more) is obtained by a known method. To planographic ink which at least contains a pigment and a vehicle, this additive is added in such an amount as will make the weight ratio of the additive to the vehicle 1 to 0.5-5, and preferably in the form of a composition with a resin which is miscible with the vehicle.</p> |
